Take three stars in every cup at 150cc

Sixty points a cup, which means first place in all four races. Getting hit, spun out or fished out by Lakitu costs you nothing.

Unlock Mirror mode

Version 4.1, in May 2015, gave Mirror to everyone. Before that it took gold in all eight cups at 150cc.

Win every cup on Mirror mode

All eight base cups again, flipped left to right — twelve if the add-on packs are installed.

Win every cup at 200cc

The class the April 2015 update added. It keeps its own trophies and its own stars: 150cc results do not carry over to it.

Win the four DLC cups

Egg and Triforce from the Zelda pack, Crossing and Bell from the Animal Crossing pack. Both were paid, and the Wii U eShop closed in March 2023.

Unlock every character

One random racer per cup you win for the first time. Coins have nothing to do with it, and the six add-on racers arrived with the packs rather than through play.

Unlock every kart part

Coins cover the random parts up to 2,800 and the Gold Glider at 10,000. The Gold Standard wants a star in every cup, and the Gold Tires want every base-game staff ghost beaten.

Collect 10,000 coins

Play Stats has shown the lifetime total since the version 2.0 update, and 10,000 coins is the Gold Glider.

Beat every staff ghost in Time Trials

Forty-eight, add-on courses included, and only the one tier. Nothing in the game marks a ghost as beaten — the stamp that used to do it went down with Miiverse.

Unlock the Gold Tires

The game’s own certificate that all 32 base-game staff ghosts are beaten, and the only visible sign of it.
