Progress

Everything Alola offers beyond the credits: the full Pokédex, all eight Ultra Beasts, the four island guardians, the legendaries out through the wormholes, and your first shiny. No story required — tick them in any order.

  • Complete the Alola Pokédex

The 400 the game itself asks for. There are 403 entries; Magearna, Marshadow and Zeraora are excluded from the requirement, so the game does the Mythical exclusion for you.

    / 400 entries
  • Ride the Ultra Warp Ride to every legendary

The wormholes reach every region the series has been to, and twenty-eight legendaries live out there in your version. A few of them want two earlier catches first, so the last stretch needs a trade.

    / 28 legendaries
  • Catch or hatch a Shiny Pokémon

SOS chains and the wormholes both work. Any sparkle counts.

  • Max out affection in Pokémon Refresh

Five hearts with one Pokémon. Grooming after battles counts, and so does drying it off.

  • Evolve your Alola starter to Stage 1

Rowlet becomes Dartrix, Litten becomes Torracat, Popplio becomes Brionne — all three at Level 17.

  • Evolve your Alola starter to its final stage

Decidueye, Incineroar or Primarina, at Level 34.

  • Catch Nihilego

UB-01 Symbiont. The first one through the wormhole, and the one wearing Lusamine by the end of the story.

  • Catch Pheromosa

UB-02 Beauty. The fastest thing in Alola, made of glass.

  • Catch Xurkitree

UB-03 Lighting. A tangle of live cable that walks.

  • Catch Celesteela

UB-04 Blaster. Two hundred kilos of bamboo rocket.

  • Catch Guzzlord

UB-05 Glutton. Eats mountains, buildings and, the Pokédex insists, whole regions.

  • Catch Poipole

UB Adhesive, and the only Ultra Beast the game gives you rather than making you hunt it. The Ultra Recon Squad hands it over on Poni.

  • Catch Naganadel

UB Stinger. Poipole evolves once it knows Dragon Pulse, which is the only evolution any Ultra Beast has.

  • Catch Stakataka

UB Assembly. A wall that is actually a colony, and it would rather you did not look at it.

  • Catch Tapu Koko

Melemele's guardian, in the Ruins of Conflict. It saved your life on the Mahalo Trail and then spent the rest of the game refusing to explain itself.

  • Catch Tapu Lele

Akala's guardian, in the Ruins of Life. Scatters scales that heal everything nearby, including whatever is trying to kill you.

  • Catch Tapu Bulu

Ula'ula's guardian, in the Ruins of Abundance.

  • Catch Tapu Fini

Poni's guardian, in the Ruins of Hope. The last of the four, and the coldest.

  • Catch Zygarde in Resolution Cave

Fifty Cells' worth, waiting at the back of the cave on Poni. Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon stopped scattering them across the region and just hand you the pieces.

  • Take Dexio's Zygarde

Another ten Cells' worth, from the man in the Kalos hat. The Cube arrives holding the last forty.

  • Assemble the Complete Forme

One hundred Cells in the Reassembly Unit. Worth seeing once even if it never sees a battle.

  • Beat the Buffet Queen

Ten turns at the Battle Buffet in the Hau'oli mall, eating and fighting at the same time. She is the reason people stop going.

  • Get the Shiny Charm

From the Game Director in Heahea City, once the Alola Pokédex is full.
