Hala hands you the Ride Pager on the Iki Town platform once Melemele's grand trial is done. Tauros flattens the boulders that have been in your way since Route 1.
Unlock Stoutland Search
Mallow, at Paniola Ranch. It noses out everything buried under Alola that you would otherwise walk straight over.
Unlock Lapras Paddle
Lana, after Brooklet Hill. Surf, without spending a move slot on it — the first thing Alola did that the series never went back on.
Unlock Charizard Glide
Kiawe, after Wela Volcano Park. Fly, and the point at which the four islands start to feel close together.
Unlock Mudsdale Gallop
Hapu, on Route 12. Rough ground stops being an argument.
Unlock Sharpedo Jet
Grimsley, on Route 15, once Po Town is behind you. Breaks the rocks sitting out in open water.
Unlock Machamp Shove
From Hapu's grandmother on the Ancient Poni Path. The last of them, and the one that finally shifts Poni Island's boulders.
