Using RolledCredits

By creating an account or using RolledCredits (rolledcredits.gg), you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. RolledCredits is a solo project. In these terms, “we” means RolledCredits, and you can reach us at hancock.trey@gmail.com.

Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old.
  • Give us accurate information, keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has your account. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
  • Only connect accounts that are yours. Do not use another person’s Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo or RetroAchievements account, or a token or link that belongs to someone else.
  • You can stop using RolledCredits at any time and ask us to delete your account. The Privacy Policy explains how.

Acceptable use

Be decent. Do not use RolledCredits to:

  • harass, threaten or abuse other people, or post hate speech;
  • post other people’s private information, or anything illegal, including sexual content involving minors;
  • post spam, advertising or fake reviews and ratings, or work with others to inflate or bury a game’s score;
  • pretend to be someone else, or mislead people about who you are;
  • post content you do not have the right to post, including other people’s copyrighted work;
  • attack, probe or overload the site, get around its rate limits or blocks, or use automated tools to scrape the site or copy its game catalog in bulk; or
  • send unsolicited marketing, or use data from a connected service in a way that breaks that service’s own rules.

Games and achievement sets you submit to the catalog are reviewed before they appear. We may edit, reject or roll back any contribution, and every change is logged.

Your content

What you post stays yours: reviews, journal entries, lists, ratings, comments, your bio and your picture. By posting it you give us permission to store it and show it on RolledCredits in the ways the site works, for example on game pages, in feeds and on your profile, for as long as it is on the site. You confirm that you have the right to post it. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

Reporting and blocking

Every place members can post something has a Report option: reviews, journal entries and replies, feed comments, lists, list comments, private messages, and profiles. Reports go to a moderation queue that we review. We may remove content, warn members, or suspend or end accounts that break these terms.

You can also block any member from their profile or from a conversation with them. Blocking hides their posts from you, ends any follow between you in both directions, stops messages between you in both directions, and stops them from replying to or liking your journal entries.

Connected services and Steam data

You can connect accounts from services such as Steam, RetroAchievements, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo so that RolledCredits can import your library. That gives us permission to read your data from those services on your behalf, and only when you ask, as the Privacy Policy explains. In these terms, “Steam data” means the information we retrieve about your Steam account through Steam’s Web API, such as your profile, the games you own, your playtime and your achievements.

RolledCredits is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Valve, Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, RetroAchievements or Twitch. Steam is a trademark of Valve Corporation. Other names and marks belong to their owners.

Data from connected services is only as accurate as the service that supplied it, and the next two sections apply to all of it.

No warranty

RolledCredits, and all data on it, including Steam data and data from other connected services, is provided “as is,” “with all faults” and “as available.” You take on all risk as to its quality and performance.

Neither RolledCredits nor Valve, nor any of their licensors or suppliers, gives any warranty or condition of any kind about the site or the data, whether express, implied or statutory. That includes any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, workmanlike effort, accuracy, title, quiet enjoyment, freedom from encumbrances or liens, or non-infringement, and any warranty arising from a course of dealing or usage of trade.

We do not promise that the site or any data will be uninterrupted or error-free, that your library, playtime or achievements will be complete or correct, or that a connected service will keep working. Valve is not a party to these terms and gives you no warranty of any kind about Steam data.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, neither RolledCredits nor Valve, nor any of their suppliers, is liable for any indirect, consequential, special, incidental or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or of any data on it, including Steam data. That applies whether the claim is in contract, warranty, negligence or anything else, and even if we were told such damages were possible.

If you are unhappy with the site or any data on it, your only remedy is to stop using it. This limit applies even if that remedy somehow fails to give you what you are owed. Some places do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Ending your access

You can stop using RolledCredits whenever you like. We can suspend or end your access and remove your content if you break these terms or put the site or its members at risk. We may also change or discontinue any part of the site at any time.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top, and by using the site after that you accept the new version. Questions about these terms, and copyright notices, go to hancock.trey@gmail.com.
